City Theatre presents four original plays in MOMENTUM, the theatre's annual festival of new plays at different stages. This year's selection features three of City's favorite alums as well as a distinguished playwright new to Pittsburgh audiences. The play's themes run the gamut from technology and football to history and community. MOMENTUM is a celebration of new theatrical works featuring readings, workshops, panels, and conversation. The festival is a chance for audiences to not only see four new works in their earliest incarnations, but also to get to know the process of creating new plays and to glimpse inside the minds of the playwrights.

Michael Frayn's hilarious farce, Noises Off, ends Pittsburgh Public Theater's Masterpiece Season with a BANG! Noises Off will be directed by Don Stephenson, who has directed plays across the country and has appeared in numerous Broadway hit productions including A Gentlemen's Guide to Love and Murder, Rock of Ages, and as Leo Bloom in The Producers. Noises Off runs today, May 29 - June 29, 2014 at the O'Reilly Theater, Pittsburgh Public Theater's home in the heart of Downtown's Cultural District.

For 20 years, the Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards have been a celebration of outstanding student achievement in high school musical theatre in Beaver, Butler, and Lawrence counties. These awards recognize individual artistry and honor the dedication and professionalism of students and educators and their schools' commitment to performing arts education. The committee is proud to announce this year's nominees, who will be honored at a private reception at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center on May 18. At the Nominees Reception, nominations will be read by Broadway veteran Lenora Nemetz, and nominees will receive a medal and commemorative certificate. The Awards Ceremony will be held at the Center on May 21 and will feature performances by several adjudicated productions. Former honorees will serve as presenters and tribute awards will be given to those who have greatly influenced the Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards. A Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to Mr. Phil Inman, and Mrs. Ginny Mancini will be in attendance.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust presents the visual art exhibition Portraits of Air: Pittsburgh by Detroit-based artist Susan Goethel Campbell. Crowd-sourced during the 2013 Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, this installation is the culmination of the yearlong project, on view at the Trust's 709 Penn Gallery from June 6-July 13, 2014. The exhibition, made possible through the generous support of the Heinz Endowments in partnership with the Breathe Project, opens in conjunction with the 2014 Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust announces the full complement of programming scheduled to be presented at the 55th annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival, a production of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. The 10-day celebration of the arts in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is unlike any other in the nation. The world-class, multi-disciplinary festival is free to attend and is open to the public.
