Pittsburgh CLO has announced that the 2013 Tony Award-winner for BEST MUSICAL, KINKY BOOTS, will make its Pittsburgh premiere as part of the 2015 Summer Season at the Benedum Center. KINKY BOOTS took home six 2013 Tony Awards , the most of any show in the season, including Best Musical, Best Score (Cyndi Lauper), Best Choreography (Jerry Mitchell), Best Orchestrations (Stephen Oremus) and Best Sound Design (John Shivers). In addition, Pittsburgh CLO alum Billy Porter received the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical. The show also received the Drama League, Outer Critics Circle and Broadway.com Awards for Best Musical and the Grammy Award for Best Musical Album, along with many other accolades.

Pittsburgh CLO will also welcome the National Tour of Rodgers + Hammerstein's CINDERELLA to the 2015 Summer Season. CINDERELLA is the Tony Award- winning Broadway musical from the creators of The Sound of Music and South Pacific that's delighting audiences with its contemporary take on the classic tale. Be transported back to your childhood as you rediscover some of Rodgers + Hammerstein's most beloved songs, including "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible/It's Possible" and "Ten Minutes Ago." Huffington Post raves "This timeless musical treasure is filled with wonder and delight! Guaranteed to thrill kids from 9 to 90!"

The excitement won't stop there. Pittsburgh CLO's 2015 Summer Season will also feature a lineup of Top 10 finishers in our Annual Audience Survey including: The "roof-raising, toe-tapping, high-flying extravaganza" MARY POPPINS, which will fly onto the Pittsburgh CLO stage for the first time. Featuring such beloved songs as "A Spoonful of Sugar," "Let's Go Fly a Kite, "Chim Chim Cher-ee" and more, this is one "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" Tony Award-winning explosion of fun for the entire family!

As if that wasn't "practically perfect" enough, Pittsburgh CLO will also produce cult hit sensation THE WEDDING SINGER for the first time in 2015. Based on the hit Adam Sandler film, this musical comedy features a sparkling new score sure to leave audiences rockin' out all night long. Just say "yes" to the most romantic musical in 20 years!

Completing the 2015 Summer Season are two of Broadway's most beloved treasures. MAN OF LA MANCHA has captured the hearts of Broadway audiences since its premiere in 1965, starring such theatrical luminaries as Raúl Juliá and Brian Stokes Mitchell in the coveted role of Cervantes/Don Quixote. Pittsburgh CLO last produced this masterpiece 20 years ago and is set to bring a thrilling new production to the stage this summer. Joining MAN OF LA MANCHA is legendary Broadway baby GYPSY, which has also enjoyed four Broadway revivals over the past 50 years. GYPSY will seduce audiences with a collection of musical theaters most adored songs including the iconic melody, "Everything's Coming up Roses."

"This Summer Season is truly exemplary of Pittsburgh CLO's core mission to bring new works to the city of Pittsburgh while creating exciting new productions of musical theater classics. By presenting KINKY BOOTS to Pittsburgh for the first time, along with CINDERELLA - two shows currently running on Broadway - and reviving classic audience favorites and seldom-produced work, guarantees that 2015 will truly feature a musical for everyone," said Executive Producer Van Kaplan. "Pittsburgh CLO Season Ticket Holders will be treated to Broadway's best in their backyard while experiencing exclusive savings over single ticket buyers, along with a host of benefits guaranteed to make their summer sizzle with fun!"
