Ruthless! The Musical to Make its Pittsburgh Premiere at the CLO Cabaret

Pittsburgh CLO today announced that the off-Broadway hit, Ruthless! The Musical will make its Pittsburgh premiere at the CLO Cabaret this winter. The show will run from January 25 - May 6, 2012.

Described by Variety as "A wonderfully smart and funny send up of every Broadway brat from ‘Gypsy' to ‘The Bad Seed' ... loaded with campy wit and charm," this hilarious musical satire is a look at what anyone, including 8 year olds, will do to get what they want. Tickets for Groups of 10 or more are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 412-325-1582. Single tickets will go on sale October 10.

Eight year-old Tina Denmark, the greatest song-and-dance sensation ever to hit the third grade, has her heart set on the title role in her school musical, Pippi in Tahiti. When Tina is relegated to the chorus to play a puppy dog she becomes homicidal. The newfound star of the show, Louise Lerman, meets a mysterious "accident" at the hands of Tina, who is now ready to don her Pippi wig. This outrageous musical hit garnered rave reviews during its long off-Broadway run and features such instant classics as "I Hate Musicals," "Angel Mom" and "Born to Entertain."
