Eight of the nation's most talented young tap dancers take to the stage in the rousing, joyous celebration of American youth culture, TAP KIDS, live at the State Theatre on Friday, April 23rd at 7:30 PM.

Tickets for TAP KIDS are $30/$25 and can be purchased at the State Theatre Box Office, 453 Northampton Street, Easton, by calling 1-800-999-STATE (610-252-3132) or online at www.statetheatre.org. Sponsored by Carrabba's Italian Grill; Promotional Sponsor B104

The State Theatre is running a local food drive for the Salvation Army in conjunction with the TAP KIDS performance. Bring a grocery bag full of non-perishable food items to the Box Office and receive one free ticket to TAP KIDS. All food items will be donated to the Easton branch of the Salvation Army. Limit one free ticket per person. Must redeem in person at the State Theatre Box Office. Not valid on previous purchases for any other performance.

Since its debut at The Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in 2002, TAP KIDS has enjoyed tremendous success across the country and abroad, thrilling audiences of all ages with their incredible talent and fierce passion. TAP KIDS have twice traveled south of the border to Mexico most recently to headline four Mexican cities at the Tamaulipas International Festival. TAP KIDS were featured performers in a star-studded gala for the Queen of Holland at The Royale Theatre Carre in Amsterdam and returned to Europe in November for a three-week tour of The Netherlands, they made their National television debut on the star-studded Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon in September 2005.

In a series of musical vignettes TAP KIDS tells the story of a group of high-school kids facing challenges both mundane and momentous as they prepare for the big school dance at the end of the day and, ultimately, for graduation at the end of their senior year.

With an original score by Philip Stern and choreography by Lisa Hopkins, TAP KIDS takes this traditional dance form to new heights in a electrifying performance that is hip, contemporary, and uplifting.
