'Dixie's Tupperware Party' Makes its Pittsburgh Premiere, 9/5-10/14

Pittsburgh CLO today announced that the hilarious Off-Broadway hit, Dixie's Tupperware Party will make its Pittsburgh premiere at the CLO Cabaret this fall, running from September 5 through October 14.  Described by NBC's "Today Show" as "Not your grandmother's Tupperware Party!" this hysterical show, starring Dixie Longate, turned Off-Broadway into a Tupperware-mania celebration, garnering a prestigious 2008 Drama Desk Award nomination.  Tickets for Groups of 10 or more are on sale now and can be purchased by calling 412-325-1582.  Single tickets will go on sale January 30.

About the Show
Dixie's Tupperware Party stars Dixie Longate as the fast-talking Tupperware Lady who has packed up her catalogues, and left her children in an Alabama trailer park to journey across America.  Critics and audiences have howled with laughter as Dixie throws a good ol' fashioned Tupperware Party filled with outrageously funny tales, heartfelt accounts, FREE giveaways, audience participation and the most fabulous assortment of Tupperware ever sold on a theater stage! Loaded with the most up-to-date products available for purchase, Ms. Longate will share how she became the number one Tupperware seller in the world, as she educates her guests on the many alternative uses she has discovered for her plastic products. 

Written by Pittsburgh native Kris Andersson, this production is produced by Down South, LLC and directed by Pittsburgh CLO alumnus Patrick Richwood, who was last seen in 2010's critically-acclaimed production of The Student Prince. Dixie's Tupperware Party will feature costumes designed by Miss Longate and lighting designed by Richard Winkler.
