Childsplay has appointed Anthony Runfola as its new artistic director, set to begin his role on June 1, 2026. Runfola, who previously spent two decades with Childsplay, will focus on commissioning new plays, enhancing equity and access in theatre, and fostering a strong ensemble culture. His extensive experience includes leadership roles at various theatres, where he prioritized inclusive and socially relevant storytelling. As Childsplay approaches its 50th anniversary, Runfola's vision aims to inspire young audiences throughout Arizona.
