SMTC Sets Cast of GYPSY

One of fastest-growing theater companies in Phoenix announces its cast for their upcoming production of the classic musical Gypsy, featuring some of the Valley's best talent.

Scottsdale Musical Theater Company welcomes long time valley theater veteran Debra Qualtire as "Mama Rose" with the titular role of "Louise/Gypsy Rose Lee" played by Sarah Cassidy. Rounding out the cast are Zoni Award winner Terry Gadaire as "Herbie", Alex Crossland as Tulsa, Madison Ottinger as "June", Kathleen Dooner as "Mazeppa", Liora Danine as "Tessie Tura", Ashley Nebeker as "Electra", Ryan Parker as "Baby June", Yael Cohen as "Baby Louise". The ensemble includes Eric Williams, Ryan Clark, Megan Farinella, Lindsay Kalby, Christina Epp, Karylin Veres, Shawna Roden, Michael LeSueur, Todd Corbeil, Nicole Kalani, Glenn Parker, Nicole Bond, Sofia Figueroa, and Thom Ratke. The show will be directed and choreographed by David Hock, with Kevin Hayward as musical director/conductor of our 20+ piece orchestra. Performances dates: August 20th - August 23rd, 2015 Performances will take place at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281.

SMTC also announces dates for the rest of the 2015-16 season. The multi-media revue Sondheim on Sondheim will run October 29 - 31, 2015 and the musical Hello Dolly will run February 3 - 6, 2016.
