GREAT FALLS to Open 4/12 at Theatre Artists Studio

By:

A man lost in his adult life drives across the West with his stepdaughter - a young woman at the beginning of hers. The broken ground they cover is echoed by their broken past. He's trying to fit together a new life using pieces of the old; she's just trying to survive. Their emotional journey reveals painful memories of disappointment and betrayal.

"Bitch" and "Monkey Man" (the only names the girl will allow), roam through the northern Rockies on a long loop from home, with two very different agendas. In a series of increasingly desperate attempts to rescue something from the wreckage of divorce, they test how much they can trust each other - or whether they can ever trust each other again. At each stop along their way, deeper and darker secrets emerge, until the questions they face inevitably become those of life and death. At journey's end, will they emerge irretrievably broken, or with some hope for forgiveness, acceptance, and reconciliation?

The Studio's production of this widely acclaimed play, Great Falls, is directed by Valley veteran Judy Rollings and stars Studio audience favorite Heidi Haggerty (from The Twist of the Magi) as "Bitch" and Greg Lutz as "Monkey Man." This play contains adult themes and is not recommended for those under 17 years of age.

Theatre Artists Studio presents Lee Blessing's haunting drama, Great Falls from April 12th through the 28th. Performances run Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are $20 General Admission, $10 Students 25 and under, $15 for Groups of 10 or more, Seniors 65 and over, and members of the Military (both active and retired.) For reservations, call the Studio box office at 602-765-0120 or visit www.thestudiophx.org.
