SISTER ACT at The Theatre at Solaire

Ovation Productions proudly announces its new theatrical offering: the Broadway and West End smash musical comedy SISTER ACT, which is based on the hit 1992 film. Produced by Whoopi Goldberg, TROIKA Entertainment, and Sister Act On Tour, LLC, the production will run at The Theatre at Solaire in Paranaque City from June 27 up to July 9, 2017.

SISTER ACT features an original score with music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Newsies), lyrics by Tony and Academy Award nominee Glenn Slater (The Little Mermaid), and a book by multi-Emmy Award winners Cheri and Bill Steinkellner (Cheers), with an additional book material by Tony and Olivier Award nominee Douglas Carter Beane (Xanadu, The Little Dog Laughed).

When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won't be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but, in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood. Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing, and a truly moving story, SISTER ACT will leave you breathless.
