REPERTORY PHILIPPINES' SWEENEY TODD lead actors Audie Gemora (Benjamin Barker/Sweeney Todd) and Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo (Mrs. Lovett) were recently featured on ANC's (ABS CBN News Channel) late night talk show CITYSCAPE hosted by Lexi Shulze.

The two Filipino theatre stalwarts sang some parts of "Little Priest" from the Stephen Sondheim/Hugh Wheeler musical thriller.  The interview tackled about Repertory Philippines' previous and present productions of the Tony-winning musical, the biggest differences between the Tim Burton film adaptation and the stage musical, and some insiders' stories.

Repertory Philippines' new production of SWEENEY TODD just opened this weekend. Costume design is by Gino Gonzales. Scenography is by Mio Infante. Light design is by John Batalla.  Gerard Salonga conducts the FILharmoniKa orchestra while Repertory Philippines' Artistic Director Baby Barredo and MISS SAIGON original London cast alumnus Michael Williams co-direct.
