Philippine Opera Company's "Ang BAGONG HARANA," a musical revue featuring traditional and contemporary Filipino love songs and patriotic anthems, continues to tour nationally, and will open Silliman University's 50th Cultural Season on June 29 to 30 at Luce Auditorium in Dumaguete City.

Below are excerpts from reviews that the production has garnered:

Edwin P. Sallan, Interaksyon.com: It is an instant classic worthy of repeated restagings for all generations of Filipinos to see, thanks in large part to the chronologically conscious script and the thoughtfully executed production numbers characterized by engaging interpretations, spot-on costumes, spectacular choreography and video backdrops of key moments in Philippine history.

Juan Antonio Lanuza, BusinessWorld: The performers completely immersed themselves in their roles and sang with much feeling. Von de Guzman, Paulo Zarate and Jessie Lasaten's musical arrangements were so exquisitely done that the medleys flowed very smoothly. I certainly enjoy how the music of "Anak" commenced. The singers and in some cases even the dancers would all be singing together.

Rosalinda Orosa, The Philippine Star: Beyond doubt, the richly talented singers in "Ang BAGONG HARANA" sang their hearts out as they did the first time I listened to them in a program also conceptualized and directed by the authoritative and keenly perceptive Floy Quintos.

Travel Life Magazine:The Philippine Opera Company is talented and dedicated, and their production this week of "Ang BAGONG HARANA" was truly an uplifting, enriching and inspiring experience. At the end of the show, there were few dry eyes in the house because of the beauty of the performances. We were all choked up and emotional by what we'd seen, heard and experienced.

Janine Dario, 24/7 Nocturnal Navigator: This world-class show awakens patriotism and our love for our culture and history through great music. It is a must-see for everyone especially for our children in celebration of our Independence Day.
