Resorts World Manila Celebrates The Ladies of Philippine Theater

Manila, Philippines--As the world celebrates the "World Theater Day" on March 27, one of the country's top theater groups, the Full House Theater Company, under the aegis of Resorts World Manila (RWM), honors some of our female thespians who have become part of the nation's long list of theater greats. This is closely aligned with RWM's overarching goal of supporting local talents.

Since the month of March is also the Women's Month, RWM took the opportunity to creatively expose how the female prowess became a moving force in shaping the local theater industry between the past, present, and future. In a video produced by RWM, six women from past RWM productions share their insights on how their theatrical profession shaped their lives and their becoming pillars of the industry.

The video, titled "Leading Ladies: A Glimpse into the Life of a True Filipina Actress," features Pinky Marquez, Cris Villonco, Monica Cuenco, Shiela Valderrama-Martinez, Tanya Manalang, and Isabeli Araneta Elizalde. The video highlights their journeys and lives on stage and how they embody the profession that continues to fascinate people. The video inspires inasmuch as it brings joy since the viewers are given a preview of the lives of women in this unique profession. It is a window that motivates one to venture on and explores your very own desire to perform, or at the very least, the expressions that make you, you.
