Ardeo Theatre Company presents Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?, directed by Suzanne Beal, running May 15–30, 2026 at the Avalon Theater within Hood College's Tatem Arts Center in Frederick, MD. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play follows a bitter middle-aged couple, George and Martha, played by Aaron Angello and Gillian Shelly, who invite a younger couple — Steven Todd Smith and Maureen O'Neal — over for drinks after a party, where the evening unravels into psychological games, verbal sparring, and the revelation of deep-seated resentments and illusions. Considered one of the greatest works of twentieth-century American theatre, the production runs approximately 2 hours and 55 minutes with two intermissions.
