The Crossing, conducted by Donald Nally, performs a program featuring a world premiere by Nathalie Joachim setting the words of Benjamin Franklin's Thirteen Virtues, alongside works by Philadelphia composers including Jennifer Higdon, Kile Smith, Robert Maggio, Julia Wolfe, James Primosch, and Benjamin C.S. Boyle. Internationally recognized cellist Thomas Mesa joins the ensemble on Joachim's new work and a reprise of Natalia Tsuprik's Kyiv, arranged by Kevin Vondrak. Presented by ArtPhilly as part of the What Now: 2026 Festival, the concert explores themes ranging from FDR's vision of democracy to love and jazz.
