Franklin's Key is a theatrical adventure produced by Pig Iron Theatre Company that follows teenage siblings Temple, a self-taught scientist, and Arturo, a gifted musician, as they uncover Benjamin Franklin's hidden technology beneath Philadelphia. Their journey takes them through secret tunnels, abandoned subway platforms, and iconic city landmarks as rival factions race to harness Franklin's mysterious invention. The production combines large-scale visual effects, imaginative stagecraft, original music, and Philadelphia history. It previously earned five Barrymore Award nominations at its 2025 world premiere, winning for Outstanding Movement/Choreography.
