Philadelphia Music Theater Works will present a stage reading - modeled after New York's City Center Encores - of Bill Russell and Henry Kreiger's play; July 1-3, 2010. Philly Music Theater Works' mounting of the Broadway musical will be its Philadelphia regional premiere.

Barrymore Award winner Alex Keiper will portray the role of Violet Hilton and up and coming Philadelphia actress, Janet Rowley, will portray the role of Daisy Hilton; the two make up the famed Siamese twins at the center of the musical who made their mark on Vaudeville and in Hollywood. The cast also includes Rory Donovan as Terry Connor, Carl Clemons-Hopkins as Jake, Jeremiah Downes as Buddy Foster, and Jeremy William Hilgert as The Boss.

The ensemble includes; Tara Bowler, Laura Catlaw, Peter Andrew Danzig, Shane Donovan, Chartel Findlater, Mara Jill Herman, Lindsay Mauck, Mark Murphy, Paris Alexander Nesbitt, Kristen Norine and Thomas Strawser.

Matthew Dicarlo (ROCK OF AGES) will serve as director. And, Christopher Ertlet (Resident Music Director) will provide music direction.

The stage reading production will run July 1-3, 2010 at the Arts Bank at the University of the Arts and is presented in cooperation with the Ira Brind School of Theater Arts at the University of the Arts.
