From January 4 through the 7th, International Performing Arts for Youth (IPAY) will host performing artists from Australia, the UK, the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States who work in dance, music, theater, physical comedy, and puppetry to celebrate our 35th Annual Showcase along the Avenue of the Arts with full technical productions of their work.

Even more artists from Finland, Spain, Canada, Australia, and the United States will perform 10-?minute spotlights of performances. Spotlights include performances by Philadelphia artists BrIan Sanders' JUNK (with an excerpt from SKINK) and Sebastienne Mundheim's White Box Theatre (with an excerpt from PARIS WHEELS). Also on the Spotlight program is McCarter Theatre's Sunjata Kamalenya.

Performances will take place at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre, The Prince Music Theater, and a variety of venues at the University of the Arts, including the ArtsBank and the Eugene C. Levitt Auditorium.

"IPAY is extremely excited to be hosting our 35th Annual Showcase 2013 here in our
hometown," says Jeremy "Boomer" Stacey, IPAY's Executive Director. "We are the champions of unsung and innovative professional performing arts for young audiences in North America and are proud to shine a spotlight on the world's best work in the field."

"The University of the Arts is proud to partner with IPAY in hosting this year's showcase of performances for young audiences from around the world," said Sean T. Buffington, Univerity of the Arts President. "The range and quality of work in music, dance, theater and puppetry that will fill four performance intense-?days is unparalleled."

IPAY will host schoolchildren and families from the Philadelphia area who receive free
passes to shows as well as complementary bus transportation.

Press passes to all shows and show schedules are available by contacting Jane Stojak. Press can review the list of Showcase 2013 artists here: http://www.ipayweb.org/showcase/artists.php.
