The Elvis Birthday Tribute features over two hours of live music and more than 50 Elvis songs that will keep you dancing in the aisles. Enjoy a special evening that recreates the memorable Elvis eras including his rockabilly beginnings, the military years, the movie years and his comeback, all the way through his Las Vegas shows.

Cody Slaughter returns to PlayhouseSquare not only from last year’s Elvis show but also from this past October when he opened the national tour of Million Dollar Quartet, starring as none other...Elvis Presley! The show also features Shawn Klush (the acclaimed #1 Elvis performer in the country, who was featured in the 1999 CBS-TV movie “Shake Rattle & Roll”) and Donny Edwards.

Shawn Klush was named the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist of 2007 by Elvis Presley Enterprises. Shawn was named the World’s Greatest Elvis by the BBB1 in London. Shawn brings the electrifying magic to the stage. Shawn is the closest thing to the king in concert.

Donny Edwards was ABC Television’s Blue Suede Elvis as seen on the Next Best Thing, Donny earned third place in Elvis Presley Enterprises Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Concert.

Cody Slaughter returns in true Elvis fashion, wearing black leather and shaking his hips.

They are joined by The Sweet Inspirations and host D.J. Fontana, Elvis’ original drummer and Rock n Roll Hall of Famer. He shares intimate Elvis anecdotes throughout the evening. The first time Dominic Joseph (D.J.) Fontana played with Elvis and the Blue Moon Boys was on October 16, 1954. He played behind the curtain as usual, but after that date he played out in front with the rest of the band. He joined Elvis' group full-time in August of 1955.
