Christopher Durang, Frank Wildhorn, Lauren Kennedy and Jarrod Emick were among those who scored Barrymore Award nominations. Nominations for the 2006 Barrymore Awards for Excellence in Theatre were recently announced by the Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia; the awards ceremony, hosted by Mary Martello, will take place at the Merriam Theatre on October 23rd at 7 PM. Waiting for the Moon, the Frank Wildhorn-Jack Murphy musical about F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald staged by the Lenape Regional Performing Arts Center, received eight nominations, while the Christopher Durang-Peter Melnick play with music Adrift in Macao, presented by the Philadelphia Theatre Company, scored six.
