Act II Playhouse to Present 'MURRAY THE ELF,' 12/18-27
Act II Playhouse in Ambler presents the world premiere of Murray the Elf and the Case of the Gruesome Gumdrop, a new comedy for kids and their families, from Dec. 18-27, 2015.
Written by Act II's Communication and Education Director Bill D'Agostino, this new play mixes mystery with comedy for an exciting story everyone in the family can enjoy. It is directed by Matt Silva. The design team includes Set Designer Maura Roche and Costume Designer Jillian Keys.
When a gumdrop ghost threatens Christmas, Mrs. Claus calls upon Murray the Elf ... but he'll need your help to solve the case!
Murray the Elf and the Case of the Gruesome Gumdrop stars Will Dennis as Murray. Andy Shaw plays all of the other characters in this original story, including Mrs. Claus, Rudy the Reindeer, and the bewitching Candy Kane.
The play is recommended for families with children ages five and older. This is the fourth Murray the Elf mystery, but no knowledge of the first three is needed to appreciate the play.
Tickets for Murray the Elf and the Case of the Gruesome Gumdrop are $10 for kids, $14 for adults, and $12 for seniors and Act II subscribers. There are 12 scheduled performances. A calendar of performances can be found here.
Tickets are available by calling the Act II box office at (215) 654-0200, in person at 56 E. Butler Ave. in Ambler, or online at www.act2.org. Box office hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
