Ballet in two acts
Inspired by Lewis Carroll's book "Alice in the Maravilas"
Choreography by Humberto Canessa and Art Direction Pepe Corzo
The National Ballet of Peru is pleased to introduce Alice, a piece based on the famous play "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. This version created by the experienced and popular choreographer Costa Rican Humberto Canessa and complemented by the work of renowned Peruvian art director Pepe Corzo, features an Alice in his naive innocence is attracted and trapped by a vigorous and brilliant world is a puzzle sound, eclectic and overflowing elements that invites us to accompany her on the path of early adolescence. On their journey, the work offers a space to remember our ability to reinvent ourselves and delights with a playful staging.
Alicia is a ballet in two acts, with 30 dancers of the National Ballet that includes a soundtrack based on the music of Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Mendelssohn and Paganini to more contemporary composers such as Philip Glass, Meredith Monk, Yann Tiersen, Hans Zimmer, Zbigniew Preisner or even some Latinos as Gustavo Santaolalla.
