As previously reported, the cast of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will be performing the show stopper 'It's Raining Men' at the Tony Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 12. The performance will be broadcast as part of the ceremony on CBS. BroadwayWorld was on hand for the rehearsal run with special guest performers Paul Shaffer (who wrote the tune) and Martha Wash (the song's original songstress). Two time Tony Award nominee and Broadway favorite Marcia Lewis passed away on, December 21 in her home in Nashville, Tennessee. The beloved, 72 year old character actress lost a battle to both brain and lung cancer. Lewis is survived by her husband, Fred Bryan.

The late Lynn Redgrave has a ball singing Ira Gershwin and Kurt Weill's 'The Saga of Jenny' from Lady in the Dark. This video is taken from a PBS special called 'Musical Comedy Tonight 2,' the second of 3 specials put together by Sylvia Fine Kaye and featuring selections from classic musicals. Reprising the number with her are Danny Kaye and Richard Crenna. The special aired February 11, 1981.
