Transport Group, the Drama Desk, Outer Critics, and OBIE award-winning theatre company, just presented a one-night-only, all-star concert of the acclaimed 1959 Broadway classic musical Once Upon A Mattress at the The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre in The Pershing Square Signature Center. Leading the company were Jackie Hoffman as Princess Winnifred and John 'Lypsinka' Epperson as Queen Aggravain with Danny Burstein (Follies) as King Sextimus, Tony nominee John Cariani (Fiddler on the Roof) as The Jester, Jill Paice (Curtains) as Lady Larken, Drama Desk nominee Lewis Cleale (The Book of Mormon) as Sir Harry, OBIE winner Jonathan Hammond (The Boys in the Band) as The Wizard, Stanley Bahorek (Queen of the Mist) as The Minstrel, and Drama Desk nominee David Rossmer (Peter and the Starcatcher) as Prince Dauntless. The Memory Show, presented by the Transport Group Theatre Company, will play off-Broadway at The Duke on 42nd Street, 229 West 42nd Street, beginning Tuesday, April 16th, 2013 at 7PM, opening Tuesday, April 30th, 2013 at 7PM and running through Saturday May 18th, 2013 at 8PM. Transport Group's Queen of the Mist is a world premiere musical with words and music by 5-time Tony nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Marie Christine, Hello Again). Based on an astounding, outrageous, and haunting true story, two-time Tony nominee Mary Testa (Guys and Dolls, Xanadu, 42nd Street) stars as Anna Edson Taylor, who, in 1901, set out to be the first woman to shoot Niagara Falls, in a barrel of her own design. Douglas Carter Beane's LYSISTRATA JONES will indeed head to Broadway in the fall, beginning previews at the Walter Kerr Theatre November 12, 2011 in anticipation of a December 14 opening. The production last played the basketball court of the Judson Memorial Church Gymnasium off-Broadway in Washington Square, opening on June 5. The production was presented by the Transport Group Theatre Company. The new musical features a book by Douglas Carter Beane, music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn and will be directed and choreographed by Dan Knechtges.

The Off Broadway Alliance, the organization of Off Broadway producers, theaters, general managers, press agents and marketing firms, presented the inaugural Off Broadway Alliance Awards Reception June 21, 2011 at Sardi's. Honorees were on hand to receive their awards and Romulus Linney, Ellen Stewart and Lanford Wilson were posthumously inducted into the Off Broadway Hall of Fame.

Transport Group Theatre Company, the winner of a special Drama Desk Award and two OBIE Awards, began previews for the New York premiere of Lysistrata Jones, a new musical with a book by Douglas Carter Beane, music and lyrics by Lewis Flinn, and directed and choreographed by Dan Knechtges on Sunday May 15 on the basketball court of the Judson Memorial Church Gymnasium. The show officially opens on Sunday, June 5.

Transport Group (TG), the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and 2007 and 2010 OBIE Awards, will present the first major New York revival of Hello Again, words and music by Michael John LaChiusa (suggested by the play La Ronde by Arthur Schnitzler), and directed by Artistic Director Jack Cummings III (two-time Drama Desk Award nominee for Outstanding Director for TG's The Audience and The Boys in the Band), beginning performances Friday, March 4, with an opening scheduled for Sunday, March 20, at 52 Mercer Street.
