Tectonic Theater Project and Madison Wells Live have announced that due to overwhelming demand, their production of Seven Deadly Sins, which opened last night, is extending by one-week. The sexy outdoor theatrical experience which has been electrifying New York City’s Meatpacking District must end its limited engagement on Sunday, July 25.

When the infamous Westboro Baptist Church showed up to protest the funerals of the victims of this month's shooting at the gay bar Pulse in Orlando, the local theatre community rallied. Partnering with Angel Action Wings, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre and other volunteers wore linen wings to block Westboro's homophobic picketers from view while singing 'Amazing Grace.' It's a happy day for the Jacobs family! Brother and sister Adam and Arielle Jacobs just surprised their parents with the news that Arielle will be playing Princess Jasmine in the Australian production of Aladdin opening in Sydney this August. Adam, who stars as the title character on Broadway, helped out with an adorable video to reveal the news to their parents, and you can check it out below!

La Jolla Playhouse presents a fifth production for its 2013/14 season: the world premiere of The Tallest Tree, a new play with music written and performed byDaniel Beaty (Emergency, Through the Night), directed by Moises Kaufman (I Am My Own Wife, The Laramie Project). A co-production with Kansas City Repertory Theatre, The Tallest Tree is running The Playhouse's Sheila and Hughes Potiker Theatre October 9 - November 3, 2013. The Off Broadway production of Standing On Ceremony kicked off its open-ended run on November 7, and featured an introduction from EVan Wolfson, Founder and President of Freedom to Marry. Conceived by Brian Shnipper and directed by Stuart Ross, Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays began as a series of benefit events in Los Angeles, taking on a life of their own as an inspiring theatrical evening. Written and directed by Moisés Kaufman, performances continue through March 6 for this compelling new piece.
