Cast members from the Tony-nominated revival of The Color Purple made their way to The Laurie Beechman Theatre on Thursday evening for Broadway Sessions. It became clear pretty darn quick that we were no longer in a theater- we were at CHURCH! These cats can sing like nobody's business. And that's just what they did. They SANG!!! Cast members Rema Webb, Antoine L. Smith, J. Daughtry, Adrianna Hicks, Bre Jackson, Phoenix Best, Akron Watson and Carla R. Stewart were greeted with standing ovation after standing ovation. The cast also shared insights into their audition experiences, told us their favorite 'audience reactions', played a round of 'The Color Purple Pyramid' and joined their voices together for an unforgettable group performance of the show's 11 o'clock number, 'I'm Here.'

Jacob Langfelder in partnership with Arts-For-All, Jill Bernard and Rashad Chambers presented a one-night-only concert on Monday, featuring Tony and Grammy Award-winner Jennifer Holliday, along with FUN HOME Tony winner Michael Cerveris, Tony-winning star of the upcoming Roundabout Theatre production of SHE LOVES ME, Laura Benanti, and THE COLOR PURPLE's Rema Webb, along with some of her fellow cast members, including Jennifer Hudson. On last night's LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT, Jennifer Hudson and the cast of Broadway's THE COLOR PURPLE performed the number 'Push Da Button'.

On this morning's GMA, THE COLOR PURPLE's Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo took to the stage with a powerful performance of the title song. Later, the actors discuss the stage adaptation of the classsic novel.

THE COLOR PURPLE producer Oprah stopped by a recent rehearsal for the show's upcoming Broadway run and joined in on a song after hugging some of the cast members, among them Danille Brooks, Jennifer Hudson and Cynthia Erivo. Check out a clip from the surprise visit below!

Songwriting team Matte O'Brien and Matt Vinson made their 54 Below debut on September 27th with 'There's Something There: The Music of Matt and Matte'. Top Broadway vocalists accompanied by a power ensemble and live folk-rock band made this a sonic experience not to be missed.
