On May 8, The Library of Congress kicked off a series of events honoring Grammy- and Academy-Award-winning songwriters Burt Bacharach and Hal David, recipients of the 2012 Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, culminating a special tribute delivered by President Barack Obama. The prize commemorates George and Ira Gershwin, the legendary American songwriting team whose extensive collection resides in the Library of Congress. The White House program, which was taped by WETA Washington, D.C. as part of the 'In Performance at the White House' series, will premiere on PBS stations nationwide tonight, May 21, 2012 at 9 p.m. EDT (check local listings) as 'Burt Bacharach & Hal David: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song In Performance at the White House.'

President Barack Obama made his first appearance on NBC's LATE NIGHT WITH Jimmy Fallon last night. The special broadcast was taped from the campus of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Tuesday to air that same night. The six member cast starred musical theatre stars Julie Garnye and Juliana Hansen, Broadway's Melody Hollis and Kristofer McNeely, and musical theatre star Jeffrey Christopher Todd, with Special Guest... Broadway, film, TV, concert and recording star Lainie Kazan. Christy Crowel served as the evening's Musical Director, with Shelly Markham serving as Musical Director for Lainie Kazan. Bruce Kimmel conceived, produced and directed Take Me Along, with Adryan Russ on board as Associate Producer.

Graham Alexander, who played Paul McCartney in RAIN: A TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES on Broadway, stirred quite the attention of critics and audiences alike. With more than a decade of touring, performing and composing under his belt, Graham has played alongside such groups as Badfinger, Spencer Davis Group, Blood Sweat and Tears, The Smithereens, The Hollies, Peter Noone, America, and James Taylor. In addition, you can see or hear Graham Alexander in a number of films, touring productions, albums, video games (ie: The Beatles: Rock Band), and as a songwriter for other artists and projects.

On last night's LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON on NBC, Fallon and his guest, Brian Williams 'slow-jammed the news' as they explained President Obama's position on super PAC's and corporate favoritism. Rapped Fallon, 'When corporations pay for favors, they expect you to put out... policies that they like.'

NBC celebrated the lighting of the world's most famous Christmas tree with a live broadcast from Rockefeller Center in New York City on Wednesday, November 30th. The star-studded holiday special featured performances by Neil Diamond, Big Time Rush, Tony Bennett, Justin Bieber, Michael Bublé, Cee Lo Green, Carole King, Katharine McPhee, Javier Colon and The Radio City Rockettes with a mix of current hits and holiday classics.
