The touring production (Philippines, Singapore) of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring Tony winner Lea Salonga and Jett Pangan, will launch in Manila, Philippines, 11-27 October 2019.

Although the BLUE MAN GROUP has already toured the world twice via its 'Complex World Tour' (2003) and 'How to Be a Megastar Tour 2.0' (2008-2009), these previous engagements, which featured other performing artists Tracy Bonham and DJ Mike Relm, were meant to promote the group's albums and not the immersive theatrical experience these iconic Blue Men are known for.
BroadwayWorld.com Philippines had the opportunity to visit the recording studio where Audie Gemora (who just finished his run as Benjamin Barker/Sweeney Todd in Repertory Philippines' SWEENEY TODD) and Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo (who played Mr. Todd's accomplice Mrs. Nellie Lovett in the same production) were curing their version of the hit duet 'For Good' from the Stephen Schwartz musical WICKED. The new recording is included in Gemora's Broadway album dubbed 'Playlist,' featuring most of the musical arrangements by Hong Kong-based musician Rony Fortich (Hong Kong Disneyland, Once On This Island).
