If It Only Even Runs A Minute 11 is the eleventh edition of the Bistro Award-winning series of rare songs, behind-the-scenes tales, and inspiring photos from Broadway musicals that may not have been fully appreciated the first time around. The most recent show featured a cast reunion of the entire original cast of Maltby & Shire's Starting Here, Starting Now: Loni Ackerman, George Lee Andrews, and Margery Cohen, who shared stories about creating the show and singing numbers that they originated in 1977. Today in 2007, The Pirate Queen opened at the Hilton Theatre (now the FoxwoodsTheatre), where it ran for 85 performances. The Pirate Queen is a musical written by Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alain Boublil, best known for their adaptation of Les Miserables. It is based on the life and adventures of the 16th century Irish chieftain and pirate Grainne O'Malley, who was one of the last Irish clan leaders to resist the English conquest of Gaelic Ireland. The cast featured Stephanie J. Block as the title character and Linda Balgord, who was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for her performance as Queen Elizabeth I.

On last night's episode of NBC's 1600 PENN titled 'Skip the Tour', series star Josh Gad bumps into his Book of Mormon co-star, Rory O'Malley who appears on the episode as a rule-abiding White House tour guide. Check out the hilarity below!

American Airlines is the official airline of the new critically acclaimed new production of the Tony Award-winning musical Annie. Cast members from the production performed a selection of songs from the show at Terminal 8 at John F. Tony nominee Ra?l Esparza plays the recurring role of ?DA Rafael Barba? on Law & Order: SVU beginning last night, October 10. The episode, titled ?Twenty-Five Acts,? centered on the author of a best-selling erotic novel (Anna Chlumsky) who accuses a high-profile talk show host (Roger Bart) of rape. The SVU detectives face an uphill battle when they find that her account of the rape is exactly like the chapters in her book, and along with the DA?s office (Esparza), they struggle to keep the case from turning into a media circus. Yesterday, July 14, Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore hosted the 14th annual BROADWAY BARKS!, a star-studded dog and cat adoption event benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Happy Birthday Claude-Michel Schönberg! Schönberg is best known for his collaborations with the lyricist Alain Boublil. Thier stage musical version of Victor Hugo's Les Misérables, which opened at the Palais de Sports in Paris in 1980, opened to acclaim in London in 1985 and on Broadway in 1987. In 1989, their success continued with the musical Miss Saigon, which starred Lea Salonga and Jonathan Pryce. Schönberg's next project with Boublil was The Pirate Queen, a musical about the 16th century Irish pirate, chieftain and adventuress Grace O'Malley, which opened on Broadway on April 5 2007.

Today in 2002, the first Broadway revival of Into the Woods opened at the Broadhurst Theatre, where it ran for 279 performances. Into the Woods is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. It debuted in San Diego at the Old Globe Theatre in 1986, and premiered on Broadway in 1987. Into the Woods won several Tony Awards, including Best Score, Best Book, and Best Actress in a Musical (Joanna Gleason), in a year dominated by The Phantom of the Opera. The main characters are taken from the stories of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella, tied together by a more original story involving a baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, most likely taken from the original story of Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm.
