It was previously reported that Seyfried had missed the Golden Globes because she was workshopping a musical adaptation of Thelma and Louise. Singer-songwriter Basia Bulat shares the video for her song “Love is at the End of the World” today. The song is featured on her critically acclaimed album Are You in Love?, released in the spring via Secret City Records and produced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket.

Jerry Leger has a thing for ghosts. The Toronto singer/songwriter confirmed it a couple of years ago when he went on a personal journey to explore many of Ontario's largely unknown ghost towns, having been inspired by the writings of historian Ron Brown. Leger has immortalized one of those towns, Burchell Lake, on his new album Time Out For Tomorrow, containing 10 portraits of the impermanence of life, love, or simply catching a glimpse of a shooting star.

Critically acclaimed singer-songwriter BASIA BULAT is joining forces once again with Jim James (My Morning Jacket) for her new album, Are You in Love?. The record is out March 27 via Secret City Records and is produced by James, who also produced Bulat's 2016 release Good Advice. 

Longtime transcendental folk favorites The Deer have announced a new album Do No Harm to be released November 1 on Keeled Scales / Secretly Distribution (Twain, Buck Meek, Jo Schornikow, Erin Durant, Sun June). The band share a home with the critically acclaimed indie label — Austin, Texas — where they've been honored by Austin Music Awards as Best Performing Folk Act and Runner Up: Best Austin Band. On the upcoming LP, it's easy to hear why. The songs are spacious — airy vocals float atop lovely, languid melodies and gently bopping percussion, adorned with softly swelling synths and thoughtfully plucked fiddle and mandolin. It's a sound that compels comparisons to both songwriting principals like Fleetwood Mac, Neko Case or Mazzy Star as well as indie folk contemporaries like Jade Bird, Haley Heynderickx, or Shannon Lay. The Deer have formed a breed of folk entirely uninhibited, all in all its own, and absolutely captivating.

Revered drummer & prolific songwriter, Kyle Crane has lent his talents on tours with the likes of Neko Case and M. Ward among others as well as being the incredible drum double for the Oscar-winning film Whiplash. Crane recently announced an album of his own, Crane Like The Bird due out January 18, 2019, alongside video for lead single “Nicole,” featuring Band of Horses singer Ben Bridwell.

Anyone who has ever attended the Solid Sound Festival knows the parallels to Willy Wonka's famed mythical chocolate factory are easy to draw. The Wilco-created three-day festival takes place June 21-23 at the playfully exotic MASS MoCA, a large-scale contemporary art museum in North Adams, MA. Over three days and nights, alongside a full and varied program of live music and comedy, festival-goers can stargaze with a noted astronomer, learn to restore an axe (the Paul Bunyan kind) and learn about birds of prey firsthand. Fittingly, the festival has now teamed with Brooklyn small-batch chocolate makers Mast Brothers to present a limited-run Solid Sound Festival chocolate bar, complete with a golden ticket prize contest. According to the AV Club, John Mellencamp and Stephen King's musical Ghost Brothers Of Darkland County will release its official soundtrack on March 19, 2013, prior to beginning performances next year. The stage production will feature Kris Kristofferson, Meg Ryan, Matthew McConaughey, Samantha Mathis and Elvis Costello. Get a first listen below!

Two songs from the soundtrack of the highly anticipated upcoming film THE HUNGER GAMES have been released, Taylor Swift's 'Eyes Open' and Kid Cudi's 'The Ruler & The Killer.' The album will become available on March 20th only a few days before the film's March 23rd release in US theaters.
