A quarter century ago, Jonathan Larson's groundbreaking musical, RENT, opened at New York Theatre Workshop. From its humble beginnings at NYTW, this rock musical went on to shape a generation. What began in the East Village traveled to Broadway, across the nation and around the world. While we await showtime, check out a trailer for the big event!

On 2/20 over at Broadway Sessions we were joined by some FIERCE cast members from Ain't Too Proud! Performers included Elijah Ahmad Lewis, Esther Antoine, Jamari Johnson Williams, Jelani Remy, Marcus Paul James, Morgan McGhee, Saint Aubyn, Shawn Bowers, Ta'Nika Gibson, Corey West, and Tiffany Frances along with guests Lindsay Gloriana Bohon, Anthony Fett and 'Rising Star' Jesse Michael Allison.

The cast of Ain't Too Proud kicked off the 93rd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with a medley of 'Get Ready,' 'Ain't Too Proud To Beg' and 'I Can't Get Next To You.'

The cast of 'Ain't Too Proud - The Life and Times of The Temptations' kicks off TODAY's Best of Broadway Week with a live performance of the show's title track.

Last night, the cast of the Broadway musical 'Ain't Too Proud: The Life and Times of The Temptations' sang a special medley performance of 'Get Ready' and 'Ain't Too Proud to Beg' for the Tonight Show audience.

Ain't Too Proud is heading for Broadway! The musical, about the life of The Temptations, will play Broadway's Imperial Theatre beginning Thursday, February 28, 2019, with an official Opening Night set for Thursday, March 21, 2019.

As previously announced, Ain't Too Proud will play Broadway's legendary Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) with performances beginning Thursday, February 28, 2019, and an official Opening Night set for Thursday, March 21, 2019.

We all know that February is Black History Month, but did we all take a moment to reflect and celebrate? Well we did just that, Broadway-style, at Sessions on February 23rd. Not only did we invite a starry roster of Broadway's best and brightest to share music representing the influence, importance and impact of African American legacy on Broadway, but we also paid homage to some Broadway trailblazers like Diahann Carroll, Ben Vereen, "Stokes" and more. We even challenged our audience to "name that African American Tony winner," which of course gave us the opportunity to bask in the glorious voices of Melba Moore, Hinton Battle, Heather Headley, Ted Ross, Jennifer Holiday and many more. Tony and Grammy award-nominated Michael McElroy and Broadway Inspirational Voices released the eighth video in their 'Broadway Our Way' series today, offering 'Love to Me' from the musical Light In the Piazza, music and lyrics by Adam Guettel (Millions; Floyd Collins; Saturn Returns/Myths and Hymns). Check it out below!

Earlier this month, Broadway united for INSPIRATIONAL BROADWAY, a dynamic and soulful evening of music at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. The one-night-only concert featured theater's biggest names singing Broadway, Gospel, Pop, and Rock classics with a stirring and spiritual twist, including musical arrangements by BIV founder and Tony Award-nominee Michael McElroy.

Scott Alan made his concert debut at 54 Below just last week on, January 19th with a slew of Broadway all-star talent, including 2014 Tony winners Jessie Mueller and James Monroe Iglehart, Tony nominees Joshua Henry andChad Kimball, as well as Lilla Crawford, Erin Davie, Mykal Kilgore, Natalie Weiss, Christine Dwyer, Julian Cihi, Danny Calvert, Elizabeth Stanley, Abby Mueller, Christiane Noll, Jessica Phillips, Lisa Brescia, Ashley Brown, Eden Espinosa, Marcus Paul James, Julia Murney, Marissa Rosen, Christina Cataldo and Galyana Castillo joined Alan. IMAGINE: A Concert of Hope, a benefit concert to raise funds to benefit Cancer Research through the Brian Werbel Memorial Fund at University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center was held earlier this week at (le) poisson rouge (158 Bleecker St.). All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Brian Werbel Memorial Fund. BroadwayWorld was there for the special night and you can check out highlights below!

On September 12, some of Broadway's brightest talents sang completely new arrangements of the hits of Amy Winehouse in the most recent concert of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series. More than 20 Broadway performers were accompanied by a full band playing brand new, original orchestrations of the English singer's greatest songs. The concert is the fifth of the series; previously honored were Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Stevie Wonder.
