Broadway Producer Ken Davenport and Davenport Theatrical just presented the first annual Davenport Songwriting Contest. 10 songs competed for the title of 'Best Song' and a $500 Grand Prize. The Bridges of Madison County begins previews on Friday, January 17, 2014 and opens on Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street). The complete casting includes Kelli O'Hara as Francesca Johnson, Steven Pasquale as Robert Kincaid, Hunter Foster as Bud Johnson, Cass Morgan as Marge, Michael X. Beginning Tuesday, March 6, for the first time in Broadway history, fans of the hit musical revival of GODSPELL can listen online for free to exclusive creative team audio commentary of the performance from the show's legendary composer Stephen Schwartz (Wicked) and director Daniel Goldstein.

In the Wednesday, February 29th performance of GODSPELL, stage and screen star Eric McCormack made a cameo appearance in the role of Lazarus. Watch the humorous performance below!

The Vision: 20 years ago, in January of 1992, Broadway was a different place: Times Square and the environs were dangerous and down at the heels, the World Wide Web had just launched, and the Soviet Union had come to an end just a month before. So much has changed on Broadway in that time that it begs the question 'What will Broadway be like 20 years from now?' But there's an even better, more important question than that: 'What's the best that Broadway can be 20 years from now?' And that's the question TEDxBroadway attempts to answer.

On Thursday, February 16, 2012 musical director Paul Shaffer made a musical cameo at GODSPELL. He joined the cast in singing 'Learn Your Lessons Well' and accompanied them on the piano. Watch the performance below!

The 40th Anniversary production and first-ever Broadway revival of Stephen Schwartz's landmark rock musical GODSPELL is now in preview performances at Broadway's Circle in the Square Theatre. Directed by Daniel Goldstein and choreographed by Tony Award nominee Christopher Gattelli (South Pacific), the show will open on Monday, November 7.
