In January, twenty of the brightest talents on Broadway were featured in Broadway Sings P!NK, the latest concert in the Broadway Sings concert series. The tribute concerts take the music of well-known music icons and create new, unique arrangements and orchestrations by twisting the style to fit the strength of the performer. Previous concerts have included Adele, Stevie Wonder, and Justin Timberlake; this May, producer Corey Mach (Godspell, Wicked) and music directorJoshua Stephen Kartes will present Broadway Sings Bruno Mars. After a sold-out first edition, Broadway's best writers and performers teamed together again to help raise funds for children with special needs in New York City and around the world. Victor Legra, Anthony Crouchelli & M.O.V.E for Autism presented 'Putting the Pieces Together: Volume 2' featuring the music of Carner and Gregor, Rosser and Sohne, Maglione and Ruiz, Joey Contreras, Justin Anthony Long, Jonathan Lee & Joanna Burns; David Dabbon, and Will Van Dyke. Jacob Yates and Jessica Hendy met while performing in a regional production of NEXT TO NORMAL. Yates was the Cellist/Keyboard 2 for the production and Hendy played the lead role of Diana. They became fast friends and after discovering a mutual love for music and covers of well-known songs, they decided to collaborate. Watch their cover of Britney Spears' 'Baby One More Time' below!

Jessica Hendy just finished a run of NEXT TO NORMAL at Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati, for which she won the 2011 BroadwayWorld Cincinnati Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical (local), and became very good friends with the cellist from the production, Jacob Yates. The pair has begun making music together and filmed this cover of Lada Gaga's 'Edge Of Glory.' Watch the video below!
