Today in 1971, You're A Good Man Charlie Brown opened at the John Golden Theatre, where it ran for 32 performances. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a 1967 musical comedy with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts. Directed by Joseph Hardy and with choreography by Patricia Birch, the 1971 cast included Grant Cowan as Snoopy and Dean Stolber as Charlie Brown.

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held earlier today, May 27th in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets. Hosted by HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH's Darren Criss, Broadway's best turned out for the annual performance - including Kinky Boots' Mia Gentile, who performed 'The History of Wrong Guys'!

Broadway Bares, the unrivaled evening of sexy striptease that benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, is turning 25 and will welcome back to the director's chair Jerry Mitchell, Bares' creator and executive producer. The 2015 edition will fill NYC's Hammerstein Ballroom on Sunday, June 21.

The Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots is still bringing audiences to their feet nightly at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street). The show has enlisted the help of Broadway's favorite pint-sized critic, Iain Armitage, to spread the message of the musical to kids everywhere. Today in 1999, You're A Good an Charlie Brown opened at the Ambassador Theatre, where it ran for 149 performances. A 1967 musical comedy with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, the show is based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip Peanuts. THe 1999 revival featured new dialogue by Michael Mayer, who also directed, and additional songs and orchestration written by Andrew Lippa; choreography was by Jerry Mitchell. The cast featured Anthony Rapp, Kristin Chenoweth, and Roger Bart.

Kinky Boots took South Korea by storm earlier this year, marking the first international production of the Tony-winning musical. Now according to the Korea Joongang Daily, the musical has taken home top prizes at this year's 9th Annual Musical Awards. The show was awarded not only 'Musical of the Year,' but Kang Hong-seok, who played Lola, also earned a 'Best Lead Actor' award from the Korea Musical Theater Association.

For the first time in 10 years, Broadway Bares creator Jerry Mitchell will return to the show's director's chair to helm what promises to be a scintillating and titillating 25th celebratory edition of Broadway Bares. Join Jerry and 200 of Broadway's sexiest dancers for two performances only on Sunday, June 21, at New York City's Hammerstein Ballroom, located in Manhattan Center. Show times are 9:30 pm and midnight.

KINKY BOOTS has taken South Korea by storm, marking the first international production of the Tony-winning musical. The show is set to run through February 22, 2015 in Seoul at the Chungmu Art Hall Grand Theatre. Check out highlights below!
