THE OUTSIDER, a new play by Paul Slade Smith, is set to open this week at the Paper Mill Playhouse. This hilarious satire follows Ned Newley, perhaps the most unlikely candidate ever, who is suddenly and unexpectedly thrust into the role of Governor.

Signature Theatre today announced a second extension for EDWARD ALBEE'S THE LADY FROM DUBUQUE, directed by David Esbjornson. Extended last week through April 1, the production will now play two additional weeks, through Sunday, April 15. EDWARD ALBEE's THE LADY FROM DUBUQUE is the inaugural production in The End Stage Theatre at the company's new home The Pershing Square Signature Center. The production opened on Monday, March 5. The Public Theater will begin previews on Monday, June 6 for the 2011 Shakespeare in the Park summer season featuring MEASURE FOR MEASURE, directed by David Esbjornson, and ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL, directed by Daniel Sullivan. Directed by David Esbjornson (The Goat, Or Who Is Sylvia?), Driving Miss Daisy began performances on October 7, 2010, at the John Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street), and officially opened Monday, October 25, 2010. The 16-week limited engagement runs through Saturday, January 29, 2011.
