The first episode of the new web-series Outside The Box is now up and running on YouTube. Episode one stars Beth Leavel, Melody Hollis, Barry Pearl, Sandy Rosenberg, and Brandon Uranowitz. Written and Directed by Bruce Kimmel.

Outside The Box is a new musical comedy web series about a very outré musical theatre group called Outside The Box. Each episode features an entirely new cast, save for one recurring character, the director of the group. Each episode features between one and three musical numbers. The first episode of six (comprising season one) will premiere November 6 on YouTube (the YouTube channel is outsidetheboxseries), with new episodes every two weeks.

The musical icon and beloved actress Julie Andrews returned to the UK stage for the first time in thirty years, with a special one off performance at London's O2 Arena. 'An Evening with Julie Andrews' saw a night of music from her greatest stage and screen performances, as well as the live narration of the story Simeon's Gift, the best-selling children's book written by Julie and her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton. Seth Rudetsky posted a video follow up to Christiane Noll's performance of 'Back to Before' on his show Siriux XM Live on Broadway. 'At my Sirius/XM show, I asked Christiane ("Mother" in RAGTIME) to take the end of "Back to Before" up to an E instead of just a C sharp. Of course, she then interpolated an F sharp as well. Brava.'

Following the closing announcement of Broadway's RAGTIME for January 3, the production was met with public dismay and a swell of strong ticket sales for the closing week. As previously reported, the producer's have responded to public sentiment by extending the show by a week. The critically acclaimed new production of Terrence McNally, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty's Tony Award® winning musical RAGTIME will now play its final performance on Broadway at the Neil Simon Theatre on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. following 28 preview and 65 regular performances.
