SCHIKANEDER - The Turbulent Love Story Behind The Magic Flute, a romantic musical comedy about one of the 18th century's most colourful theatrical couples, celebrates its world premiere on 30 September 2016. It continues the tradition of the Vereinigte Buhnen Wien (VBW) of creating new in-house productions - the autumn production of SCHIKANEDER will be the Raimund Theater's twelfth world premiere musical. The two lead actors, Mark Seibert (Schikaneder) und Milica Jovanovic (Eleonore) recently went into the studio to record one of the songs from the musical by Stephen Schwartz  (Music and Lyrics) und VBW director Christian Struppeck (book) to give a small taste of the show: 'Traum Groß' (Dream Big).

SCHIKANEDER - die turbulente Liebesgeschichte hinter der Zauberflote" ist eine romantische Musical-Komodie uber eines der wohl schillerndsten Theater-Ehepaare des 18. Jahrhunderts, die am 30. September 2016 ihre Weltpremiere feiert. Die Vereinigten Buhnen Wien schließen somit an die Tradition der Eigenproduktionen an und bringen mit SCHIKANEDER die insgesamt zwolfte Musical-Urauffuhrung des Unternehmens im Herbst auf die Buhne des Raimund Theater. Als kleinen Vorgeschmack auf das Musical aus der Feder von Broadwaykomponist Stephen Schwartz und VBW Intendant Christian Struppeck haben die beiden Hauptdarsteller Mark Seibert (Schikaneder) und Milica Jovanovic (Eleonore) eines der Lieder vorab im Studio aufgenommen: 'Traum Groß'.
