Stephen Sondheim returned to the Colbert Report on November 30 to discuss his new book, 'Look, I Made a Hat: Collected Lyrics (1981-2011) with Attendant Comments, Amplifications, Dogmas, Harangues, Wafflings, Diversions and Anecdotes', talk about his characters and shows and of course to talk about Stephen Colbert's performance in COMPANY.

Disney will be re-releasing its classic fairytale BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in 3D on January 13, 2012. The animated romantic comedy was directed by Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale and stars Paige O'Hara, Robby Benson, Rex Everhart (II), Richard White, Jesse Corti and Angela Landsbury.

The American Theatre Wing raised more than $550,000 at their annual Gala last night. All of the proceeds will go towards The Wing's education and outreach programs. The event was held at New York's legendary Plaza Hotel in honor of Sir Howard Stringer (Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Sony Corporation and longtime American Theatre Wing Board Member), and included a special tribute to Douglas B. Leeds (Former President and dear friend of The Wing).

She'll be only the third female to host the show by herself in the history of the awards show- the others being Angela Lansbury and Ellen Degeneres. As previously reported, the cast of PRISCILLA QUEEN OF THE DESERT will be performing the show stopper 'It's Raining Men' at the Tony Awards ceremony on Sunday, June 12. The performance will be broadcast as part of the ceremony on CBS. First reported by Deadline.com was the sad news that legendary director and writer Arthur Laurents has passed away at 93 years old, dying in his sleep. The Los Angeles Times has added a short statement from Jonathan Lomma, Laurents' agent at William Morris Agency who confirmed his death Thursday, saying that 'he died earlier this evening, peacefully in his sleep, at his home in New York City, after a short illness.'
