6 - a new musical with book, music and lyrics by Zack Zadek (additional lyrics by Gina DePalo), will receive its European premiere at the Space on North Bridge, Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2014 with previews at London Theatre Workshop 27th - 28th July. Zack is one of America's youngest and most promising composers having 6 - a new musical selected by New York Musical Theatre Festival and featured in 2012. He was soon after invited to perform a solo concert at NYCs famous Joe's Pub. In January 2014 TwentySomething produced Zack's UK debut concert featuring some of London's finest voices.
Musical Theatre Factory (MTF) will host their second monthly Factory Salon-an informal new works open mic night-on Thursday, July 17th, from 8pm to Midnight. Musical Theatre Writers are invited to showcase new songs, and singers are invited to perform songs by new writers. Joe Iconis (The Black Suits, Bloodsong of Love, NBC's Smash) is headlining the event, which will also feature sets by guest composers Lizzie Hagstedt, Alexander Sage Oyen, and Zack Zadek. 54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents LyricLion on April 3rd, at 11:30 PM. LyricLion is an ensemble of seven top musicians currently studying at Columbia and Juilliard. The group accompanies singer-songwriters in new arrangements of their songs with the unique instrumentation of flute, bassoon, french horn and strings. They have been praised for their "astute musical taste" and their blend of classical and pop has been described as a "truly inspiring result" (Huffington Post).

Maybe the newest voice in musical theatre just won the 2014 New Voices Project, sponsored by New Musicals Initiative in Los Angeles. Directed by Hunter Bird, the concert will be a mix of musical theatre, pop, dance, as well as selections from Zadek's full-length musicals 6 (New York Musical Theatre Festival 2012), and The Crazy Ones (NYMF Reading Series 2013).
