The Recording Academy announced today its newly elected National Officers of the Board of Trustees, voted upon at the organization's annual spring Board of Trustees meeting in May. Record producer Harvey Mason Jr. has been elected as the Chair of the Board of Trustees, and managing partner of Placement Music Tammy Hurt will serve as Vice Chair. Veteran music executive Terry Hemmings was re-elected Secretary/Treasurer and recording artist and founder/CEO of Swan Songs Christine Albert assumes the position of Chair Emeritus. All officer appointments were effective on June 1, 2019.

Casting has been announced for the Portland engagement of Disney's Aladdin.  The hit Broadway musical will begin performances at Keller Auditorium on Wednesday, March 27 for a limited engagement through Sunday, April 7. The press opening night is Thursday, March 28 at 7:30 pm.

The Lone Bellow will head out on a major North American Tour beginning October 1st, snaking through the U.S. through December. For the first time ever, the band will play as just the trio with no backing band - riffing on a wildly popular portion of their live show where the three gather around one microphone.The Restless EP will release wide come Oct. 19th and features two new songs, two covers, and three reworked versions of songs from previous records.
