Eva Price and Sucker Love Productions have announced the third and final extension of the hit New York Premiere engagement of CRUEL INTENTIONS - the new musical nightlife experience based on Roger Kumble's 1999 cult-hit film. The musical, which began as a ten-week run starting November 17, 2017, will now play twenty-one weeks and 112 performances by its conclusion on Sunday, April 8, 2018.

Due to popular demand, CRUEL INTENTIONS the new musical nightlife experience based on Roger Kumble's 1999 cult-hit film has extended a second time, adding an additional 4 weeks to its New York Premiere engagement. The musical, which began performances on Friday, November 17, 2017, opened on Monday, December 11 at downtown hotspot (le) Poisson Rouge (158 Bleecker Street), will now play through Friday, March 16, 2018. Though the Tony Award-winning musical adaptation of writer/director John Carney's well-liked indie film ONCE is a musical that this reviewer has liked quite a bit from past productions, it took seeing South Coast Repertory's brand new regional production---now on stage in Costa Mesa through September 30---for this reviewer to not only like it, but to truly adore it. From casting to staging and everything in between, SCR's enjoyable new mounting, under the astute direction of Kent Nicholson, is somehow much more emotional, thoughtful, and remarkably riveting than past touring productions. And though, yes, it is essentially the same source material, SCR's exquisite new iteration of this small, but genuinely endearing musical is by far the gold standard of how this show should look and feel in any and all future productions.

A LITTLE NEW MUSIC returned to the historic Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood on Monday, August 21st with its fifteenth concert featuring emerging musical theatre artists. Co-hosts, Tony Award winner Marisa Jaret Winokur (HAIRSPRAY) and Ryan O'Connor ('BIG LITTLE LIES,' 'LADYWATCH' podcast), delighted the audience with context and humor between numbers. Gregory Nabours and the dynamic ALNM band (Eric McCann, Emily Rosenfield, and Greg Sadler) provided excellent backup to the singers performing the next generation of musical theatre songs. 

On Monday, August 21 at 8:30pm, A Little New Music will present its 15th concert collaboration with an eclectic array of artists performing original musical theatre songs at the historic Catalina Jazz Club. A testament to the transcendent power of love and music takes center stage as South Coast Repertory opens its 2017-18 season with the multi-award-winning Once.
