"Miss Saigon," the international musical sensation that ran on Broadway for a decade, opens the new season at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre. PinnWorth Productions proudly presents this blockbuster show for nine performances: Fridays, Sept. 9, 16, and 23 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Sept. 10, 17 and 24 at 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Sept. 11, 18 and 25 at 2 p.m. A reception with the cast and crew follows the opening night performance on Sept. 9. Kelsey Theatre is located on the college's West Windsor Campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road.

A second season of the animated series ELENA OF AVALOR a story inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore, has been greenlit into production after its notable premiere on Disney Channel and Disney Junior last month.

This past week, Broadway Workshop presented their 2nd annual benefit concert at NYC's famed supper club - Feinstein's/54 Below. This years show was entitled - SHOWS WE'LL NEVER DO featuring songs from musicals that Broadway Workshop will likely never produce including; Avenue Q, Gypsy. Into the Woods, The Color Purple, Grey Gardens, The Life, Heathers, Dear Evan Hansen, The Last 5 Years, Spring Awakening and Hamilton. BroadwayWorld has photos from the concert below!

Marcie Gorman-Althof and Michael Lifshitz, the producing partners behind MNM Productions, today announced that the preview performance of THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND, a musical revue showcasing the music of legendary Broadway songwriters John Kander and Fred Ebb, raised $2,280 to benefit the Metropolitan Community Church of the Palm Beach Gardens (MCCPB) and Joy MCC in Orlando. In preparation for a premiere on Governors Island in New York City in 2017, NACL Theatre, based in Highland Park, NY, presented a site-specific 'Walk-In-Progress,' COURAGE, at Apple Pond Farm (Callicoon Center, NY) on July 22-24 to capacity audiences. Geffen Playhouse has just announced the cast for its West Coast premiere production of Barbecue, written by Obie and Helen Hayes Award winner Robert O'Hara. Tony nominee Colman Domingo directs the production starring Yvette Cason, Dale Dickey, Omar J. Dorsey, Frances Fisher, Kimberly Hebert Gregory, Travis Johns, Elyse Mirto, Maya Lynne Robinson, Heather Alicia Simms and Rebecca Wisocky.

Brandon P. Bell will reprise his role as Troy Fairbanks from the 2014 indie feature DEAR WHITE PEOPLE for Netflix's upcoming comedy series based on the film. Logan Browning also joins the cast.
