Something unusual is on the menu for Coventry audiences next season. This September, the Belgrade Theatre will be serving up a slice of fresh, homemade comedy drama, lovingly cooked up by Midlands writer Paven Virk.

This September, Milagro is thrilled to announce the second season of INGENIO, a New Works Project funded once again by the National New Play Network (NNPN).

Strange situations and encounters are something that happens in many of S. Karlan's short plays. A strange connection here, a misunderstood relationship there, the question of love and gender, robotic partners, and pretty much anything that leaves you wondering what the hell is really going on make up some of his stories. For audience members, there is always one play that stands out the most, and usually you hear them talking about it on the way out. 'He should have just loved her,' said one older man after one of his shows last March. 'So what if he wasn't sure that she was a man or a woman.' People have vastly wide opinions about the material. But if the idea is to create a dialogue, S. Karlan's play do just that.

Tickets to individual performances on the University Musical Society's 140th season will go on sale to the public on Monday, August 13, 2018. With appearances by internationally renowned orchestras, chamber musicians, dance groups, jazz and global music artists, and international theater ensembles, the UMS season spans the complete spectrum of the performing arts. Events will take place in Ann Arbor venues, including Hill Auditorium, the Power Center, the Michigan Theater, and Rackham Auditorium. In addition, UMS will present five high-definition theater broadcasts from the National Theatre of London and the Bolshoi Theater of Moscow, all in partnership with the Michigan Theater.

Everyday Inferno Theatre Company is proud to open the world-premiere production of Bethel Park Falls this weekend. Today, Freeform announced a pilot order for “Breckman Rodeo” (working title) from creator/writer Steve Lerner and the executive producers of the award-winning drama “The Americans,” Joe Weisberg and Joel Fields. Fields and Weisberg are executive producers, and Lerner is Co-Executive Producer of the pilot, which is produced by FX Productions.
