Hartford Stage Reschedules Performances

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Hartford Stage has decided to reschedule the run of Ah, Wilderness! (originally scheduled May 7-31) to October 22a?"November 15, 2020 and The Complete History of Comedy (Abridged) (originally scheduled June 11-21) to October 1-11, 2020.

This Spotlight focuses on Andrea Stradling, a Los Angeles-based actor formerly in health care public relations who fully understands and appreciates the dedication and sacrifices being made by those on the frontline treating patients in the Covid-19 pandemic. And like so many other actors, the show in which Andrea was performing had to end its run earlier than expected, opening up unplanned time in her schedule to fill with online theatrical opportunities.

Good news for musical theater lovers! TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's recent, acclaimed production of Paul Gordon's Pride and Prejudice will now be available to stream. Presented by Streaming Musicals, Pride and Prejudice will receive a a?oevirtual opening nighta?? on Friday, April 10 at 3:30pm PT/ 6:30pm ET, with an encore presentation at 7:00pm PT/10:00pm ET. Tony Award winner Beth Leavel (The Drowsy Chaperone, The Prom) and Julie James, Program Director/ Curator of SiriusXM's a?oeOn Broadwaya?? channel, will host the a?oevirtual opening night,a?? which will include an intermission discussion with the creative team members including TheatreWorks Silicon Valley's Founding Artistic Director Robert Kelley, who directed the new romantic musical comedy. Streaming during the April 10 a?oevirtual opening nighta?? will be free. Pride and Prejudice will then be available to stream on StreamingMusicals.com for a minimal fee. BroadwayWorld recently caught up with Robert Kelley to learn more about his production of Pride and Prejudice and also to touch base with him on how TheatreWorks was weathering the current health and economic crisis.

Leslie Jordan Joins Cast of CALL ME KAT on Fox

Leslie Jordan has joined the cast of Call Me Kat as a series regular, according to Deadline. The Fox multi-camera straight-to-series comedy, stars Mayim Bialik, and hails from Bialik, Jim Parsons and Warner Bros. TV. The show also stars Swoosie Kurtz, Kyla Pratt and Cheyenne Jackson.

Stages Theatre Festival Comes to Scotiabank Stage

The 26th annual Stages Theatre Festival will introduce Halifax audiences to many new and exciting scripts by playwrights from Atlantic Canada and beyond.
