The Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts (PTPA) has announced Ovations Dance Repertory Company will present WILLY WONKA, JR. on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

This month, ?Joe's Pub at The Public presents showcases from a range of artists including writer Dan Hoyle to orchestral indie band Mother Falcon to downtown darling Erin Markey to a slew of French jazz musicians, as part of the Paris Jazz Club's French Quarter Festival, coinciding with APAP|NYC, the annual Association of Performing Artists Presenters conference. The performances will occur nightly from Thursday, January 8 through Tuesday, January 13.

Light Opera Works is currently accepting enrollments for the 2015 Musical Theater Summer Workshop. Young people ages 8 to 13 will learn singing, dancing and acting in preparation for a public performance on Saturday, where family and friends are invited to watch them perform a mini-musical. No experience or audition required, and everyone gets a part.

Paper Mill Playhouse released a block of great seats today for its holiday musical, Elf, for the week following Christmas. Expanded availability includes performances from December 27, 2014 through January 4, 2015. Based on the 2003 film starring Will Ferrell, Elf has a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, music by Matthew Sklar and lyrics by Chad Beguelin. Elf is directed by Eric Ankrim and choreographed by Josh Rhodes. Elf runs eight times a week at the Millburn, New Jersey, theater through January 4, 2015. Elf has been playing to many sold-out houses since November 26. Casting is announced for Gregory Doran's production of Arthur Miller's 1949 Pulitzer prize-winning play Death of a Salesman, opening in the centenary year of Arthur Miller's birth. Previews start from 26 March, with the press night on Wednesday 1 April, 2015.
