? Since Joe's Pub at The Public opened its doors in 1998, it has been a stomping ground for both the masterful legends and powerful young voices of music and the performing arts. This winter (November 2014-February 2015), Joe's welcomes a slate of emerging musicians, performers and artists including soulful French-Cuban twin sister duo Ibeyi, critically acclaimed performance artist Kalup Linzy, cabaret charmer Ali Grieb and more on the cusp of major careers. These artists, full lineup below, are the ones to watch.

Firehouse Theatre Announces Full Cast and Creative Team for A CIVIL WAR CHRISTMAS

Firehouse Theatre is proud to announce the full cast and creative team working on the next production of its 21st Season, A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration, by Pulitzer Prize-winner Paula Vogel. Directed by Dr. Tawnya Pettiford-Wates, this touching family musical will play 14 performances, November 20 - December 20, 2014. Opening night is November 21.

Safeway Holiday Ice Rink Returns to Union Square Today

The Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square presented by Bank of the West, a San Francisco holiday tradition, will kick off the ice skating season today, November 5, 2014 with a lineup of jubilant and festive activities for all ages. The ice rink will remain open through Monday, January 19, 2015.

Sheffield Theatres Sets Full 2015 Season

James McNeel Named New Managing Director of City Theatre

The Board of Directors of City Theatre is pleased to announce the appointment of James McNeel as the organization's next managing director starting January 5, succeeding Mark R. Power who has served in the role for the past four years with the South Side-based non-profit theatre company, the largest theatrical producer located beyond Downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District and the region's home for the development and production of new plays.

BWW Interviews: Versatility is JEFF SKOWRON's Middle Name

Jeff Skowron is a chameleon. The versatile actor has appeared on Southern California stages playing everything from Thenardier in Les Miserables at La Mirada Theatre to Leo Bloom in The Producers at 3-D Theatricals -- roles for which he is currently nominated for an Ovation Award -- to The Baker in Into the Woods. He previously won the Ovation Award for his moving performance of Leo Frank in 3DT's award-winning revival of Parade, and that's in addition to his work on Broadway and in television & film. Next he steps into the traveling salesman shoes of Edward Bloom for the west coast premiere of Big Fish at Musical Theatre West. It's a role that continues to show his range in a production that will enchant audiences beginning October 31st.
