Little Colonel Playhouse to Open 57th Season with SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY, 10/3-13

The Little Colonel Players open their 57th season with Southern Hospitality by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten. Directed by Jeff Mangum, the show features Sharon Cardwell, Anthony Chaffin, Rick Fletcher, Martha Frazier, Katie Hay, Jeff Mangum, Michael McCollum, Emily Miller, Janet Morris, Candy Thomas, Jayme Thomas, Charles Wade and Teresa Wentzel. The show runs October 3, 4, 5, 11, 12 at 8PM; October 6 and 13 at 2:30PM.

The play provided the impetus for the venerable Columbo television series, starring the late Peter Falk. The cast includes Eric Link (2011 Lakie Award Winner for Best Lead Actor), Buffi Holland, Pamm Howard (named BroadwayWorld.com's 'Best Featured Actress in a Play' for her performance in A Few Good Men), Rod Streng, April Hardcastle-Miles and Patrick Goedicke as 'Lt Columbo.'

The RiverPark Center event will feature a retrospective on Peter Falk, who played Columbo on television and died June 23. William Link, co-creator of the television series 'Columbo,' has written several Columbo short stories. Four will be selected and presented as Live Broadcast Theatre productions (formerly called Live Radio Theatre and presented in the style of old-fashioned radio shows).

PRESCRIPTION: MURDER Ends Run at The New Theatre, 3 April

Prescription: Murder is the legendary Lieutenant Columbo's first ever case. International star Dirk Benedict - best remembered for playing ‘Faceman' in The A Team and Starbuck in the original Battlestar Galactica - takes on the role immortalised on TV by Peter Falk.
