Lakewood Theatre launches 32nd season with COLUMBO: PRESCRIPTION MURDER

By:

Asa Ambrister directs the William Link-Richard Levinson thriller Columbo: Prescription Murder to launch Lakewood Theatre’s 32nd season, prompting the statement: “Hmmm, I didn’t know that was a play!”

The play provided the impetus for the venerable Columbo television series, starring the late Peter Falk. The cast includes Eric Link (2011 Lakie Award Winner for Best Lead Actor), Buffi Holland, Pamm Howard (named BroadwayWorld.com’s "Best Featured Actress in a Play" for her performance in A Few Good Men), Rod Streng, April Hardcastle-Miles and Patrick Goedicke as "Lt Columbo."

Show dates are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays February 17-March 3. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 7:30 p.m., with Lakewood Theatre Co. offering Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. on February 19 and February 26.

Reservations are recommended by purchasing at TicketsNashville.com, or by calling (615) 847-0934. Ticket prices are $14 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors. Groups of six or more who reserve in advance are offered a $2 discount per ticket. The Sunday,

February 26 performance will be sign language interpreted for deaf and hard of hearing audience members.

LTC is located at 2211 Old Hickory Blvd. in Old Hickory. Columbo: Prescription Murder is produced in cooperation with Metro Nashville Arts Commission and Samuel French, Inc.

Lakewood Theatre Company will be offering six mainstage shows in 2012, and a summer workshop for young performers and aspiring performers ages 6-18 in June.

LTC was recently voted "Best Community Theatre Company" in Nashville's BroadwayWorld.com Awards.  More information about LTC is available at www.lakewoodtheatre.com.
