The Cincinnati Pops has announced the cast for its new symphonic concert adaptation of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning musical Ragtime.

How does a scarecrow learn to talk? How does one become a tin man? What made the lion so cowardly? In an age where prequels are being released left, right and centre in cinemas, it's no wonder that Wicked, which tells the story of what happened before Dorothy landed in Oz, is celebrating its 12th anniversary in London's West End at the Apollo Victoria Theatre.

In a move to attract new audiences to live orchestral music, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra has expanded its concert offerings to include Saturday night (8 pm) performances at Richardson Auditorium.

On Saturday, September 29 at 8 pm and Sunday, September 30 at 4 pm, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra (PSO) opens its six-concert Classical Series with a celebration of one of America's most revered composers and conductors, Leonard Bernstein. The concert features brilliant violinist Daniel Rowland performing the West Side Story Suite (arranged by William Brohn) for violin and orchestra, and stunning soprano Meghan Picerno singing "Glitter and be Gay" from Candide.

FUSE@PSO, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's category shattering early evening concert series, returns to Heinz Hall on Wednesday, June 14 with string trio Time for Three in "Mash-Up Mix-Down."

PITTSBURGH – FUSE@PSO, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra's genre-bending early evening concert series, returns for its second season with three concerts featuring the music of Tchaikovsky, Bartók, Björk and Drake, and a performance by guest artists Time for Three. PITTSBURGH – FUSE@PSO, the popular, genre-bending early evening concert series presented by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, returns Wednesday, March 9 to Heinz Hall with “Stravinsky's Firebird: Remix | Response.”  For this concert, series Creative Director Steve Hackman has crafted a modern dramatization and remix of Stravinsky's ballet The Firebird. Weaved into the Stravinsky are 12 original songs, inspired by the myth of the Firebird and the original 1911 score, that implement modern pop/DJ/electronica production techniques and tell the story in an entirely new and contemporary way.  It is at once a live remix, concept album and classical masterpiece. Joining the Pittsburgh Symphony are rapper Jecorey “1200” Arthur, singer Malia Cievtz, drummer Gabriel Globus-Hoenich and a 15-person female choir.
