Roustabout Theatre Troupe has reached the end of their first full season, having put down stakes at the Ypsilanti Experimental Space for 2019. For their final offering, they'll be presenting Joseph Zettelmaier's Haunted: The Great Lakes Ghost Project. In 2017, Michigan playwright Joseph Zettelmaier began a journey across his home state. He set about to collect a wide variety of ghost stories, true otherworldly encounters by Michiganders from Milan to Marquette. Today, June 15th, the streets of South Lake Union become an arts playground featuring the Massive Monkees, a Brazilian parade, an Egyptian wedding procession (including a kazoo sing-along), a live interactive marionette exhibit (where the audience pulls the strings), a Bollywood Flash mob, and FREE open dance classes from Seattle's best studios. South Lake Union will be wall-to-wall events and it's open to all ages.

The 8th Annual Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF), Beyond the Threshold runs June 14-23, 2013 and like South Lake Union, the neighborhood it occupies, continues to grow by leaps and bounds. In addition to its largest roster to date of regional, national and international dance artists, and three new Spotlight on Seattle curators, Art on the Fly will seal off two blocks of Terry Avenue for a day-long urban art fiesta, including "surprise" and roving performances, a music stage, free dance classes, an artisan craft fair, a beer and margarita garden and food provided by restaurant sponsors like Tom Douglas' Cuoco and Brave Horse Tavern. The Art on the Fly kickoff is topped off with a Dusk Dance Party hosted by KEXP DJ Will Myers and a "Dancing with the Seattleites" Dance Contest. Details Below.
