Mark Rylance-Led FARINELLI AND THE KING Begins Tonight on Broadway

The critically acclaimed Shakespeare's Globe production of Farinelli and the King, starring three-time Tony Award-winner (Twelfth Night, Jerusalem, Boeing-Boeing) and Academy Award-winner (Bridge of Spies) Mark Rylance, begins tonight, December 5, 2017 in advance of an opening night on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Broadway's Belasco Theatre (111 West 44th Street).

Final Week To Vote In The 2017 BroadwayWorld UK Awards

The 2017 BroadwayWorld UK Awards honour the best productions from the past year around the country and the best long-running West End shows. Voting is open until midnight on Friday, 8 December, with the winners announced soon afterwards.

Ramps On The Moon Announces Casting for OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD

In 2018, Nottingham Playhouse will become the lead producing partner for the acclaimed Ramps on The Moon co-production of Our Country's Good by Timberlake Wertenbaker. Following their critically praised staging of Nikolai Gogol's The Government Inspector and the award winning recent production of The Who's Tommy, this is the third co-production with Ramps on The Moon, a consortium of seven theatre companies dedicated to putting D/deaf and disabled artists and audiences at the centre of their work.

Nina Wadia And Sara Stewart Lead The Cast Of The UK Première Of COLLECTIVE RAGE: A PLAY IN FIVE BETTIES

Antic Face and Nik Holttum Productions today announce casting for the UK premi re of award-winning American playwright Jen Silverman's play Collective Rage: A Play in Five Betties. Nina Wadia (Betty 4) and Sara Stewart (Betty 1) lead the all-female company, directed by Charlie Parham, along with Lucy McCormick (Betty 2), Beatriz Romilly (Betty 3) and Genesis Lynea (Betty 5). Collective Rage opens in the Large at Southwark Playhouse on 29 January, with previews from 24 January and runs until 17 February.

2018 UK Tour Announced For BIRDSONG

Marking the centenary of the end of the First World War, Rachel Wagstaff's highly acclaimed adaptation of Sebastian Faulks's best-selling novel BIRDSONG embarks on its final UK tour, opening at Theatre Royal Bury St Edmunds on 31 January 2018 and continuing until 17 July 2018.

Winners Announced for Achates Philanthropy Prize 2017

The winners of the 2017 Achates Philanthropy Prize, the only annual Prize that celebrates first-time cultural giving in the UK, were announced last night at a special event hosted by the eminent cultural philanthropist, Omar Al-Qattan, at London's Delfina Foundation.

BWW Review: BARBER SHOP CHRONICLES, National Theatre

Inua Ellams' dynamic new play debuted last June, to critical acclaim. Following its successful run at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Barber Shop Chronicles returns to the National with a bang. The story takes its audience to barber shops in Peckham, Johannesburg, Lagos, Accra, Harare and Kampala.

Black Theatre Live Announce 2018 Tour

Black Theatre Live in co-production with Yellow Earth Theatre and Royal Exchange Manchester has announced that they will tour new play Mountains The Dreams of Lily Kwok, which tells the extraordinary story of the three generations of women behind famous Manchester restaurant Sweet Mandarin. Based on Helen Tse's family memoir, the show will include live cooking onstage, and at selected venues there will be a pre-show cooking demo from Helen and her sister Lisa. The show is led by an all-female creative team.
